Shauna gave us strategies and something to use. That was wonderful and I wish more workshops had usable information instead of abstract ideas.

Mrs. King was an outstanding speaker. She truly identified with our situations, which is rare in an in-service.

She was very informative and very interesting. Love how she presented the material and how to apply it. Made everything very real and relevant. She should talk to all high schools in the county.

Ms. King was the highlight of the morning; she has been in the trenches and had insight and solutions to the problems to things we see every day.

I really appreciate your “real person” approach. You have fulfilled a variety of roles in your career and can offer us the appropriate perspective that we might not have considered. I was able to clearly relate as I have also worked at different levels in the system and am a parent. Thank you for your professionalism and courage.

Ms. King had a wonderful way of presenting information, and I could tell that she had actually been in a classroom and knew what we wanted to know, and she presented her information in an informal and humorous fashion.

Very personable session about how we view our staff and ourselves. It was different in the fact that it was teacher and staff based instead of student based. It was something that I didn’t know I needed. We always have professional developments and trainings about how to help the students… but in order to better help the students it’s good for us as a staff to know ourselves and have a good culture overall.

This session was extremely informative and beneficial for anyone who works with children. As an educator, it is necessary to understand and relate to children effectively to help them succeed in life as children and as they grow into adulthood. Since adult interactions with children impact them in the moment and in their futures, we need to make sure we have the tools to do so effectively. This session prepares educators to change so we can be the most benefit.

It was powerful! Our words impact our attitudes, our feelings, and our brains. The circle at the end was extremely powerful. Looking someone in the eye and saying something positive was pleasing to say and do. I found myself feeling happy and hopeful throughout the presentation.

I would say it was engaging and thought provoking. Honestly, the training today gave me my second wind to make it through the rest of the school year. I was motivating and I’ll use the tools learned today to reset and revamp some of the things I’ve been doing in the classroom.
